We'll have the usual Maylands Railway Station start at 7:30 am then hook up at the Narrows (South Side). The ride will start from the Narrows Bridge (South Side - near the old Kiosk) at 8:30 am.

We'll take the bike path to Mt Henry Bridge then weave through Riverton towards Marmion Street and on towards Freo. We'll have a coffee stop in Freo (venue to be agreed) and return via Cottesloe.

John has offered to lead us out on his Ellenbrook Loop ride again.

Narrows starters at 8:00 am. Collect Maylands starters on the way through at 8:30 am.

Narrows to vines using Swan Valley route then through vines to Dome at Ellenbrook. Follow Lord Street to Reid Highway, turn right ahead to Beechboro, turn left and head through to Bayswater train station then retrace cycle path back to start.

Saturday July 11, 2015 - Life Cycle [OffRoad] practice ride #4

... a change from the previously scheduled Freo ride...

Francis will lead our next practice ride next weekend on Saturday 11 July. It will follow the Heritage Trail again. For those of you who rode this before, you will be able to gauge how much your fitness has improved. For the rest of you, a good length without any rough riding to cause injuries.

Difficulty: Medium, one long hill to climb through Swan View, Greenmount, John Forrest National Park and Parkerville

Meeting location: Glen Forrest, corner of Hardey Road and Railway Parade, Glen Forrest (there is a parking area where the Heritage Trail crosses Hardey Road).

We will ride the full length of the Heritage Trail from Glen Forrest down to Darlington, Boya and Bellevue, travel through Swan View and Greenmount to John Forrest, Parkerville, Stoneville, Mount Helena, Sawyers Valley, across Great Eastern Hwy to Mundaring, Mahogany Creek and back to Glen Forrest.

The morning tea will be at the Glen Forrest Gourmet Cafe on Railway Parade, Glen Forrest.
